The Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office on Monday filed a notice of appeal challenging a judge’s refusal to take $1 million from the pending sale of Mon View Heights and set it aside for nuisance abatement.
No judicial visitRangos also denied a request by the DA’s office for her to visit Mon View Heights as part of a pending criminal case against the property owners.
In September 2024, the DA’s office filed criminal charges against the property’s owners, Mon View Apts LLC, for creating a public nuisance.
In a separate action in civil court, a receiver was appointed to manage Mon View Heights.
‘Deep experience’On July 17, Common Pleas Judge Chelsa Wagner approved the sale to Camber Property Group, based in New York, for $7.5 million.
