Festival-goers have been urged to take extra care as the hot weather and dry grassland could create a serious fire risk. The hot weather is due to continue, with Met Office forecasters predicting temperatures as high as 34C on Thursday, August 13. Boomtown 2025 (Image: Scott M Salt)In a safety update posted on Facebook, Boomtown organisers said: “The site is dry grassland, and the consequences are serious.” The blaze began on Sunday, August 9, with a vehicle fire before spreading into nearby heathland, damaging the road surface and fencing, with drivers urged to avoid the area. Firefighters remain at the scene days later, with National Highways warning it may take days for the A31 to reopen.
