A man who's wanted in connection to the fatal shooting of a Penn State University student in June attempted to steal the car of an off-duty Philadelphia police officer early Monday morning, U.S. Just after 3 a.m. Monday, Fleming and another man allegedly pushed the officer's Dodge Charger around the block and tried to start the vehicle, 6ABC reported . Fleming and the other suspect drove away in a red Lexus, which was reported stolen a few days prior, before exiting that car and driving away in a blue Lexus, which was also reported stolen. Fleming is accused of being the getaway driver in a stolen car after the fatal shooting of Schmidt. He has been wanted since July and faces multiple charges including robbery, conspiracy, theft and obstruction of justice.
