Mill Green Museum & Watermill will commemorate the milestone this September. The watermill, mentioned in the Domesday Book, dates back to at least 1086 and was operational for over 800 years before falling into disuse in 1911. It remained idle until 1979 when a restoration project was initiated by the Hatfield and District Archaeological Society alongside Millwrights International Limited. The final phase saw the replacement of the mill machinery and the installation of a new water wheel. The museum is inviting the public to visit the new exhibition to learn more.
