Tarbela dam reaches maximum conservation level, power generation stands at 4,888 MW

TARBELA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Aug, 2026) The water level at Tarbela Dam on Monday has reached its maximum conservation level of 1,550 feet, with live water storage recorded at 5.580 million acre-feet (MAF), or 100 percent.
According to the daily data for August 10, the average inflow into the reservoir stood at 199,100 cusecs, while total outflow was recorded at 169,300 cusecs.
The outflow included 57,300 cusecs through Units 1-10, 55,800 cusecs through Units 11-14, and 42,000 cusecs through Units 15-17.
The minimum operating level of Tarbela Dam is 1,402 feet.
The reservoir level recorded a one-foot rise in the daily data, while 800 cusecs was being released into the PHL Canal.
