MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Aug, 2026) The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) intensified crackdown on food businesses using rottenand substandard eggs to prepare bakery products and discarded 15 dozen rotten eggs takingaction against a bakery in Green City, Mian Channu. According to the PFA Public Relations Wing Multan Division, a safety team raided the bakeryon the directions of PFA Director General Raja Mansoor Ahmed and recovered foul-smellingand rotten eggs. The team found that the substandard eggs were intended to be used in the preparation of cakes,rusks, biscuits and other bakery items. The recovered eggs were destroyed on the spot, while an FIR was registered against the bakery owner. PFA Director General Raja Mansoor Ahmed said that operations against elements involved inpreparing unsafe food were continued and strict action would be taken against those puttingpublic health at risk.
