Prime Minister, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Monday directed the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to continue effective enforcement against smuggling, tax evasion, and illegal businesses across the countryISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Aug, 2026) Prime Minister, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Monday directed the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to continue effective enforcement against smuggling, tax evasion, and illegal businesses across the country. Chairing a review meeting regarding ongoing FBR reforms, the prime minister directed that implementation of the FBR reforms be further accelerated. He also directed the timely completion of the proposed Faceless System for Inland Revenue. The complete rollout of the Faceless System should be ensured by 2027. Under the Faceless System, jurisdiction, over tax cases would be assigned on a random basis, irrespective of geographical boundaries.
