A special walk will also be organised to express solidarity with the minority community, promote national unity and strengthen interfaith harmony. Managing Director, SPA Rawalpindi and Chief Executive Officer, Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC), Rana Sajid Safdar said the role of the minority community in the development and prosperity of Pakistan was commendable and unforgettable. Rana Sajid said the SPA would continue to promote unity, tolerance, mutual respect and interfaith harmony through public awareness activities on national days and other important occasions. He said paying tribute to the contributions of the minority community was an effort to strengthen national unity and the shared values of Pakistan.
