Levon Helm Studios suing drummer’s daughter in latest round of disputeIn the latest update in the dispute regarding the studios owned by the late Levon Helm, the management behind the venue is attempting to sue his daughter. The former The Band drummer died in 2012, and his daughter, Amy Helm, has largely taken over his studios in Woodstock, New York, ever since. Now, the fresh management of Levon Helm Studios has seemingly responded by launching a lawsuit on August 10th against Amy and seven other defendants for “self dealing” in pursuit of their own monetary interests, to the tune of $2 million in damages. According to representatives for Amy Helm, she will not comment at this time but is preparing a response to the lawsuit. She also previously alleged that a physical altercation took place between her and Parillo at the Levon Helm Studios on May 28th, in which “I told him to leave me alone.
