PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Aug, 2026) The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) has expressed serious concern over the repeated forced activation of high-loss feeders at Bannu Grid Station, warning that the practice could destabilise the power system and disrupt electricity supply across the district. According to PESCO spokesman, Malik Rahat along with protesters has allegedly been entering the Bannu Grid Station for the past three nights and pressuring staff to switch on high-loss feeders. He said a high-voltage transformer at the Bannu Grid Station had recently developed a fault, causing widespread disruption and leaving consumers without electricity for several days. PESCO official said its load management strategy was designed to maintain stability in the power network and ensure uninterrupted electricity supply to consumers as far as possible. He urged all stakeholders to cooperate with the power utility and avoid actions that could compromise the safety of grid installations, staff and the wider electricity transmission system.
