PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Aug, 2026) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Public Health Engineering Fazal Shakoor Khan has directed officials to expedite the restoration of inactive tube wells and water supply schemes in Khyber district to ensure uninterrupted access to clean drinking water. He issued the directives while chairing a meeting in Peshawar to review the status of water supply schemes, tube wells and a proposal to shift tube wells in the district to solar power. The meeting was briefed on operational and non-operational water supply schemes and tube wells in Khyber. Fazal Shakoor Khan directed officials to regularly monitor water supply schemes and resolve technical or administrative issues without delay. The minister said shifting tube wells to solar energy could reduce electricity expenditure and make the water supply system more efficient and sustainable.
