Final revenue and expenditure figures show the district closed fiscal year 2026 (school year 2025-2026) with a deficit of $3.4 million.
District 65 Chief Financial Officer Eric Miller told the board that school closures need to be on the table.
District 65 contracted with StudioGC to conduct both that survey and a master facilities plan last school year.
“I feel honored to be part of the District 65 family,” said new interim Superintendent Eric Witherspoon.
Notably, IASB led the search that resulted in the hirings of former District 65 Superintendent Angel Turner and former CFO Tamara Mitchell, both of whom left the district earlier this summer.
