PLDT INC. has retained its inclusion in the latest FTSE4Good Index Series, reflecting the company’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices. “PLDT’s inclusion in the FTSE4Good Index Series reflects the organization’s collective efforts to embed sustainability in the way we do business, strengthening organizational and workforce resilience while creating long-term value for our stakeholders,” PLDT Chief Sustainability Officer Melissa V. Vergel de Dios said in a media release on Tuesday. The FTSE4Good Index Series was created by global index and data provider FTSE Russell to measure the performance of companies with strong ESG practices. Based on the FTSE4Good report, PLDT posted an overall ESG score above the global telecommunications industry average and the Philippine mobile-sector average. PLDT also recorded year-on-year improvements, which the company attributed to environmental initiatives and social supply chain management programs.
