RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Aug, 2026) A special crackdown against one-wheeling, car skidding and dangerous driving will be carried out across the district on the occasion of Independence Day under the supervision of Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rawalpindi Farhan Aslam. In this regard, seven special squads and more than 1,000 police personnel will perform duties on Independence Day. Talking to APP, the CTP spokesperson said that a special traffic plan had been devised to protect the lives and property of citizens and ensure smooth flow of traffic on Independence Day. He said special personnel would be deployed at major roads, recreational spots and entry and exit points to prevent one-wheeling and car racing. He appealed to citizens, particularly youngsters, to celebrate Independence Day responsibly and with enthusiasm and refrain from one-wheeling, racing and other dangerous activities.
