Assurance to Resolve Energy Crisis Within Two Years Staff Correspondent, Dhaka (Tuesday, August 11, 2026)Energy experts have called for ensuring an uninterrupted supply of energy to sustain the country’s economic growth. Acknowledging that problems in the energy sector have accumulated over time, the Minister and State Minister for Power and Energy said the government has formulated a multipronged plan to address the crisis in cooperation with the private sector. State Minister for Power and Energy Anindya Islam Amit said there is a major gap between electricity and energy demand and supply. He said the country is facing a dollar crisis alongside the energy crisis. Without ensuring macroeconomic stability, it would be difficult to resolve the energy crisis, he added.
