QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Aug, 2026) Provincial Parliamentary Secretary for Transport, Mir Liaquat Lehri on Monday termed the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement as an important milestone for bringing peace and development of the areas. He said that unity, mutual trust and joint cooperation between the three brotherly Islamic countries would play an important role in promoting peace, stability and prosperity in the region, said a statement issued here. He said that the relations between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye were not limited to just diplomatic ties but were based on brotherhood, mutual respect, trust and long-standing brotherly relations. He said that in the present era, the region needed mutual cooperation and a common strategy for peace, stability and economic development. He mentioned that the coming closer of brotherly countries like Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye and the signing of the Makkah Defence Agreement would pave new ways for them to play a positive and constructive role in the region.
