A new roundabout has officially opened along Highway 4 at the intersection of Beaver Creek Road in Port Alberni. “Drivers should slow down when approaching the roundabout, yield to traffic in the roundabout and follow posted signs and pavement markings,” said the ministry. The province says the roundabout is designed to improve traffic flow and safety along Highway 4, and to improve connections to Beaver Creek Road. Besides improving traffic flow, the province says the new roundabout will improve safety for drivers, pedestrians and cyclists and provide more streamlined access to local marinas.
