The DC also called for more effective monitoring of field teams and stressed coordinated efforts by all concerned departments to achieve the complete eradication of polio.
He appealed to parents to ensure that their children under five received polio vaccine drops to help achieve the goal of a polio-free Pakistan.
The meeting reviewed vaccination targets, field teams' performance and coverage, along with activities in different areas and issues encountered during the first day of the campaign.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Enforcement) Abdul Rehman Khan, Chief Executive Officer Health, District Health Officer, World Health Organization Coordinator Rawalpindi-Islamabad, area in-charges and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
