Wrexham AFC say they are “delighted” to announce the signing of goalkeeper Anthony Patterson from Sunderland – officially for an undisclosed fee – but widely reported to be in the region of £8m.
Patterson becomes Phil Parkinson’s third summer signing, penning a four-year contract with the Club, until the end of the 2029-30 campaign.
On signing for Wrexham, Patterson said: “Wrexham really suits me in terms of what I want to do in my career, so it feels like a perfect fit.
A product of the Sunderland academy, Patterson made his senior debut in the EFL Trophy against Fleetwood Town in November 2020 – under current Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson.
On Patterson’s signing, manager Phil Parkinson said: “We’re delighted to welcome Anthony to the Football Club.
