Similarly, 6,020 complaints related to police services and 17,754 departmental and other complaints had been resolved, the spokesperson said. Furthermore, 3,908 complaints regarding the arrest of accused persons, 5,999 complaints related to recoveries and 3,749 complaints concerning faulty investigations had been disposed of. The spokesperson added that 1,819 complaints regarding cancellation of false cases and 1,336 complaints related to change of investigation had also been resolved. The IGP urged citizens to contact the 1787 IGP Complaint Centre without hesitation in case of any complaint against police officials and avail the mechanism for prompt redressal of their grievances.
