The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Town Planning Wing has intensified its crackdown against illegal commercial buildings and properties defaulting on commercialisation fees, sealing 99 properties and demolishing multiple illegal structures in different parts of the cityLAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Aug, 2026) The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Town Planning Wing has intensified its crackdown against illegal commercial buildings and properties defaulting on commercialisation fees, sealing 99 properties and demolishing multiple illegal structures in different parts of the city. Several illegal shops in Naz Town were demolished, while an illegal structure on Defence Road near Kahna Flyover was also removed. The teams sealed 29 properties in Gulberg and Faisal Town over illegal commercial use. Another 42 properties were sealed along Canal Road, Samanabad and Poonch Road for illegal commercial use and non-payment of commercialisation fees. The sealed properties included private schools, colleges, academies, halls, salons, cafes, restaurants, food points, grocery stores, clinics, hardware and electrical stores, pharmacies, shops, car showrooms and offices.
