According to a press statement issued here on Monday, Kohsar and its adjoining localities were located in the tail-end of the water supply network of HW&SC owing to which they had been facing recurrent problem of water shortfall. The statement also acknowledged that the situation had forced the residents to buy expensive water tankers to meet their domestic and commercial water needs. As per the statement, the CEO had directed the corporation's technical team and zonal engineers that keeping in view Kohsar town's partly hilly geography, water pressure in the pipeline of Kohsar should be increased. The CEO also directed the officials to take action against the people stealing water from the main line. He said the officials should ensure that even the last parts of Kohsar town received water within 24 hours.
