Investigating Officer Sub-Inspector Faryal Malik appeared before the Prosecutor General along with the relevant record. The prosecutor general directed that all legal requirements be fulfilled to bring the accused police officer to justice at the earliest, while ensuring that the victim and her family receive justice. Irfan Sadiq Tarar reiterated that the state would not tolerate elements who, despite being responsible for enforcing the law, allegedly violate it. He said that, in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the protection of women and provision of justice were among the government’s foremost priorities and legal responsibilities. He assured that all available resources would be utilised to ensure justice in the case.
