The spokesman of HW&SC informed here on Monday that the employees association had called off their ongoing protest on the assurance that their salaries and pensions would be paid. Chief Executive Officer Tufail Abro and Chief Financial Officer Zubair Ahmed Pathan held negotiations with a delegation of the association in the presence of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan MPA Nasir Qureshi. The spokesman said the CEO and the CFO assured the employees that the matter of their unpaid salaries would be sorted out at the earliest by utilizing all available resources.The employees claim that the corporation had so far defaulted payment of their salaries and pensions of 19 months.
