According to initial information, a police patrol attempted to stop two suspected motorcyclists in the area. Instead of stopping, the suspects allegedly opened indiscriminate fire at the police party and fled while firing. Three passers-by sustained gunshot injuries during the exchange of fire and were shifted to hospital for medical treatment. Police said evidence was being collected from the scene while efforts were underway to trace and arrest the fleeing suspects.
