MANSEHRA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Aug, 2026) A modern 110-bed Category-C hospital has been completed and made operational in Balakot, providing improved healthcare facilities to residents of the area and tourists travelling to the Kaghan and Naran valleys.
The hospital was completed on the directives of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister, Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi by the Planning and Development Department in collaboration with the relevant department.
Situated at the gateway to the Kaghan and Naran valleys, the hospital is expected to provide timely medical and emergency services to the local population as well as domestic and foreign tourists visiting the region throughout the year.
The operationalization of the hospital will increase healthcare capacity in the area, facilitate timely treatment during emergencies and reduce the burden on District Headquarters Hospital Mansehra and other major healthcare facilities.
The facility is also expected to play an important role in ensuring better access to quality medical services for tourists travelling to the scenic valleys, particularly during the peak tourism season.
