They say the money being offered to firms hit by years of ferry disruption is nowhere near enough to repair the economic damage caused by unreliable lifeline services.
The £14.4million total includes the £4.4m Island Business Resilience Fund launched last year and the new £10m package promised by the First Minister during the Holyrood election campaign.
During the Holyrood election campaign First Minister John Swinney announced a new SNP government would set up a £10m resilience fund.
In 2025 the Scottish Government introduced the £4.4m Island Business Resilience Fund, specifically aimed at businesses most affected by ferry disruption.
A survey by Visit Outer Hebrides found that 96% responding island businesses had encountered problems as a result of ferry disruption during the year.
