Fundraiser for paralysed south Warwickshire dad-to-be
[]
The Stratford Observer
A MUM-to-be from Leamington is fundraising to help her paralysed husband get back his independence before their baby is born.
This is a rare, critical medical emergency that occurs when blood rapidly collects in the epidural space, compressing the spinal cord.
Twenty-nine year-old Liam’s spinal cord was crushed between vertebrae, leaving him paralysed from the top of the chest down.
It came as a complete miracle to the couple as due to Liam’s paralysis it is unlikely they will be able to have children naturally again.
“The fundraiser money will go to a power attachment which will allow Liam to go off pavements, up steep hills and protect his shoulders.
