The fire service has released a series of images which show the devastating impact bonfires can have in the current weather conditions.
A spokesperson for Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: Why are we asking people not to have bonfires during the prolonged hot weather?
This leads to crews having to investigate the fire, increasing the demand on your fire and rescue service, and potentially taking them away from other more serious incidents.
Not only are you putting people and properties at risk, but your neighbours are also more likely to be using their gardens later or leaving windows open during hot weather.
"Please be considerate to your fire and rescue service, who are already extremely busy.
