FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Aug, 2026) A rickshaw driver was shot dead during a robbery attempt in the jurisdiction of Thikriwala police station late Monday night. According to Rescue 1122 spokesman,this incident occurred when the driver identified as Hassan(20),r/o Shadab Pulli,Jhang Road,was driving his rickshaw when armed bandits intercepted him near Dummar Flour Mills on Sadhar Bypass Road and attempted to rob him. The victim accelerated the three-wheeler in a bid to resist the robbers,who opened fire on him,hitting him in the head.He sustained critical injuries and died on the spot before receiving medical assistance. Rescue 1122 team reached the scene and handed over the body to police. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
