KNOWLE and Dorridge CC suffered a seven-wicket defeat against Barnt Green in a top-of-the-table clash between the two title rivals. Knowle reached 260-9 at the end of their 55 overs as Ethan Berlusconi hit a half-century for the home side at Station Road. The result means Knowle drop to second in the Birmingham and District Premier League Premier Division One table, just one point behind victors Barnt Green. Banton (5-50) claimed a five-wicket haul for Barnt Green while Harpreet Brar (2-72) chipped in with a couple of wickets. Banton’s runs came from 58 balls as Barnt Green cruised to victory with 4.5 overs to spare and seven wickets in hand.
