WARWICKSHIRE CCC find themselves bottom of the Group A standings in the One-Day Cup after starting their campaign with three successive defeats. The Bears lost by five wickets against Northamptonshire Steelbacks, by three wickets against Nottinghamshire and by 125 runs against Somerset. Warwickshire started their campaign with a trip to Northants and posted 312-9 from their 50 overs as Sam Hain (80) and Theo Wylie (65) recorded half-centuries. However, Nottinghamshire reached 283-7 in reply in 48.3 overs as Kyle Verreynne (68 not out) hit an unbeaten half-century while openers Ben Slater (52) and Freddie McCann (62) shared a 103-run first-wicket stand. Warwickshire then slumped to a 125-run defeat against Somerset at Taunton after the home side posted 337-8 from their 50 overs.
