Mews Financial Services B.V., the regulated entity established by Mews Systems, has been granted an Electronic Money Institution, or EMI, license by De Nederlandsche Bank. The license provides regulated status in the European Economic Area and allows Mews to process payments on its own infrastructure. Previously, operational records were held in Mews while financial records originated in third-party systems. Mews Financial Services is subject to governance, safeguarding and compliance requirements for payment-service providers in the EEA, including keeping customer funds separate from Mews’ operational accounts.
