Pupils were given an insight into a number of careers including those in the neurosurgery department at Birmingham Children's Hospital.
Ninestiles pupils took part in a week of work experience to gain insight into a diverse range of careers while developing the confidence, skills and knowledge needed for their futures.
Placements took learners into hospitals, engineering firms, businesses, community organisations, leisure centres and creative industries, providing first-hand experience of the world of work and helping them make informed decisions about their future career pathways.
Among the placements, one young person spent the week in the Neurosurgery Department at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, where they observed surgeons, nurses and healthcare assistants supporting children with complex neurological conditions.
