An eight-hour work stoppage is taking place among Fórsa members at the Oberstown Children's Detention Centre today.
The union says this is an ongoing dispute over resourcing and safe staffing at the campus.
Members were balloted in May and Oberstown management were informed of work-to-rule actions since late June.

"This has been brought to a head recently by a minister's announcement that the capacity on site is going to be increased, without any concrete plan for how they're going to increase the staffing levels to accommodate that."
