According to an update from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Traffic Homicide detectives were called to the crash on Ronald Reagan Parkway near Portofino Way on Friday, August 7. As of the latest update, Ronald Reagan Parkway is completely shut down in both directions while deputies investigate the crash. The crash occurred in the ChampionsGate area, near the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate and the ChampionsGate Sports Complex. Traffic Homicide detectives remain on scene, and motorists should avoid Ronald Reagan Parkway in the area until the roadway is reopened.
