A fatal two-vehicle crash occurred Sunday morning, August 9, 2026, and left one driver injured, and the other driver deceased. The crash occurred on Cypress Parkway, about 1.2 miles west of San Clemente Avenue. Upon arrival of first responders, a 26-year-old Haines City man was found deceased in his 2025 Hyundai Elantra. The PCSO Traffic Homicide Unit determined that the 4Runner was traveling west on Cypress Parkway while the Elantra was traveling east prior to the crash. Cypress Parkway was closed for approximately 2.5 hours.
