LEAMINGTON finished their pre-season preparations with a 3-1 victory against Yate Town ahead of the start of the 2026/27 campaign. Leamington won four of their eight pre-season fixtures and suffered two defeats with Southern League Premier Division South side Yate the opposition for the club’s final pre-season game. Yate halved the deficit on 56 minutes when former Football League striker Chris Zebroski headed in Sam Hendy’s free-kick into the bottom right corner. However, Leamington restored their two-goal lead on 76 minutes as Yahaya finished on the rebound after the Yate goalkeeper could only parry a trialist’s shot into the scorer’s path. Leamington begin the competitive season with a trip to Real Bedford on Saturday, August 8 with kick-off at 3pm at McMullen Park.
