A DROITWICH golfer may have hit the longest hole-in-one in UK history after completing a 411-yard par-4 in one shot, writes Niamh Cassidy. Matt Vigurs, 32, has had a remarkable run this year across the Worcestershire golfing scene before his most recent achievement at Great Barr Golf Club. Matt did manage to compose himself, however – he went on to win the match and Droitwich Golf Club won the league and promotion on the same day. The golfer had three aces already, including two at Gaudet Luce Golf Club in Droitwich and one during the Droitwich Club championships. He plans to win the county match play and do well in the English Champion of Champions event at the National Golf Centre at Woodhall Spa in September.
