The FCCI President said that strengthening exports was indispensable for building nationaleconomy on solid and sustainable foundations. He said the business community had already assured the government of its full cooperationin achieving economic and export objectives of the country. Farooq Yousaf Sheikh stressed that long-term and sustainable economic policies were imperativefor achieving consistent export growth. He said that stable and predictable policy environment would enable exporters and businesscommunity to make long-term investment decisions and concentrate their efforts on expandingexports. The FCCI Chief expressed confidence that coordinated efforts by the government and businesscommunity, coupled with lower production costs and consistent export-oriented policies, couldhelp strengthen Pakistan’s external sector and put economic growth on a sustainable trajectory.
