LAYYAH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Aug, 2026) The district administration has intensified crackdown against illegal LPG refilling in vehicles, with a joint team of Civil Defence and PERA Force conducting an operation in Chowk Azam on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Asif Ali Dogar. During inspections of LPG refilling workshops, the team detected illegal refilling of vehicles at two workshops and took two Hilux pickups, along with LPG cylinders, into custody. Civil Defence and PERA Force officials have initiated legal proceedings against those involved in the illegal refilling activity. Civil Defence Officer Touqeer Abbas said that illegal LPG refilling in vehicles was extremely dangerous and posed a serious threat to human lives. On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner, the authorities have decided to further intensify the crackdown and continue indiscriminate action against illegal LPG refilling facilities across the district.
