The meeting was attended via video link by the Head of Procurement and Planning, Deputy Director Maintenance, Emergency Officer and other relevant Rescue 1122 officials. The minister was given a detailed briefing on procurement and preparedness by the Head of Procurement and Planning, Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122). The minister said timely, effective and safe rescue services during emergencies were the government’s top priority. He said 15,838 life jackets, 841 rescue boats and 874 boat engines had been provided across Punjab, while all Rescue 1122 personnel had been trained to operate the modern equipment.
