The state’s own revenue grew even faster at 11.9%, driven by a 9.3% increase in own tax revenue and a robust 14.8% jump in non-tax revenue. The composition of revenue sources remains balanced: central grants account for 10%, the state’s share in central taxes 31%, own tax revenue 31%, and own non-tax revenue 28%. Chief Minister Majhi emphasised that a more efficient revenue machinery is essential for overall development, while greater capital and programme spending will accelerate growth. The review was attended by Chief Secretary Anu Garg, Development Commissioner D.K. Singh, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Saswata Mishra, Special Secretary Yamini Sarangi, and senior Finance Department officials.
