Zelensky said the strikes demonstrated an increasing reliance by Moscow on military support from North Korea as Russia continues its war against Ukraine. He warned that the growing use of North Korean weapons and personnel in the conflict posed a wider threat beyond Ukraine. “The more North Korean strikes there are here in Ukraine, in Europe, the more their missiles and soldiers are used, the more they correct their shortcomings and blind spots,” he said. Over the weekend, he warned that as many as 50,000 North Korean soldiers could be sent to support Russian forces defending Russian territory. Moscow has denied some Western allegations concerning the scale and nature of North Korean military support.
