Watson Chapel School District Superintendent Dr. Keith McGee says the district is off to a strong start as students return to class, including the first school year in the district’s new high school. McGee said teachers, administrators, parents and community leaders helped welcome students back to campus. At Coleman Elementary, students received a special red-carpet welcome designed to emphasize the expectations and support the district has for its students. Watson Chapel has moved from a traditional eight-period day to a block schedule, giving students a schedule more similar to what they may experience in college. Watson Chapel began last school year needing approximately eight teachers.
