He said the Constitution guaranteed equal rights to all citizens without discrimination, adding that the government was taking all possible measures to protect the life and property, religious freedom and fundamental rights of minority communities. He said National Minorities Day conveyed a message of interfaith harmony, tolerance, brotherhood and mutual respect. Representatives of the Christian community thanked the deputy commissioner for organising the ceremony and expressing solidarity with the minority community. The ceremony concluded with cake-cutting and special prayers for the country’s development, prosperity, peace, security and interfaith harmony.
