ITANAGAR, 6 Aug: A man from Assam was killed and another injured in a landslide at a hydroelectric power project site in Kurung Kumey district, an official said on Wednesday. The deceased worker was identified as Nobin Doley, a resident of Dhemaji district of neighbouring Assam. Doley died on the spot while another worker was extricated from the debris and taken to a nearby medical facility for emergency treatment. The identity of the injured is yet to be ascertained, the district official said. The project management team has initiated a detailed assessment of the site, and further administrative procedures are underway, he said.
