The updates show that Meta is getting more serious about growing its subscription revenue by providing access to tools and business partnership options that could be valuable to creators and brands.
In May, Meta announced a suite of paid add-on packages for Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, and in July, the company announced that it would soon charge users for access to certain advanced AI features.
Meta hasn’t shared official data on the take-up of its subscription options.
Meta brought in more than $200 billion in revenue in 2025, so subscriptions are only a tiny portion of its business.
