The Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame announced on Tuesday (Aug. 11) that the pop superstar — who began her musical career as a country artist with her 2006 self-titled debut album — is being inducted into the contemporary songwriter/artists category as part of the Class of 2026. “From the time I started writing songs as a child, I fixated on Nashville as the perfect place to be. The singer-songwriter’s induction into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame at age 36 makes her the youngest ever to receive the honor. The nominations for the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame were announced in July. Only one inductee — Swift — was elected by artists, professional songwriters and Hall of Fame members.
