When Sixty Vines opened in Plano, Texas, in 2016, it was among the first restaurants in the country to serve wine on tap, a novelty that has since become its signature.
It opened three restaurants last year, including in Raleigh, N.C., and Gaithersburg, Md.
The casual-dining concept bills itself as “the winemaker’s restaurant,” offering the cuisines of various wine-country regions, as well as 60 wines on tap.
By serving wine from kegs, it allows customers to order 2.5-ounce samples or larger pours as they see fit.
It also gives Sixty Vines legitimate sustainability messaging by cutting down on the transportation of heavy wine bottles, as well as reduced use of cork, foil, and labels.
